1st stage - New Portrait of John

If you know Bondi, you may recognise this....it's St Anne's on Blair St. The clouds were wonderful that day, so many yet so much sunshine, fabulous!

Think these might be just about finished! They have taken me absolute ages to do...so I hope everyone likes them. I'm working on 3 others (2 from Cockatoo Island & 1 of Bondi Street) plus a portrait and  also have another sketch to translate into paint. Lots to keep me busy.

Storm Over Bondi

A couple of egg paintings to start the day!

Morning repast.

It's great fun painting the mundane things of life and making them come alive. I really enjoyed doing them.

Passing evening storm. This is the Santa Cruz across the road from us. It's a great 1920's edifice with many quirks and endless expressions according to the light. I just love it. This one's oil on canvas, the first finished painting for the year.

Bondi Junction - corner of Convent Lane & Adelaide Ave. A nice little hard edged urban landscape to finish of the year with. It's oil on linen (stretched on wood panel). Took ages to complete!!!!!
